In 1962 the company moved to a new location in Donja Zelina, which enebeld it to expand its facilities and embrace new possibilities of business.
In 1981 the company`s name was changed to "Metal - Elektro" as it is colled today. With the expansion of production facilities "Metal - Elektro" has been continuously widening its range of products to include pressure containers, metal lampposts, metal structures, lightning appliances, heaters, explosion-protected appliances, devices for railways, nonferrous metal casting, and servicing of electrical appliances and own products.

Over the last three years the number of employees was stabilised at 80 and the company generated an annual income of approx. 5.000.000,00 €.
"Metal-Elektro" d.d. is a privately owned company operating under the Croatian Company Act. Apart from the Croatian market, our products have in recent years been sold on the markets of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Slovenia, Greece, Kazahstan, and Finland, with exports currently accounting for 40 percent of total turnover.
It is goal of "Metal-Elektro" to achive further growth and expansion of buisness throught planned annual investments, by adding new products to its product spectrum in accordance with technological and market demands, and by continually expanding and improving the company`s quality assurance system. The existing quality system conforms to ISO 9001. In the tehnological process standards are observed.
